Hello, my name is Andrei Raileanu, and I am the founder of 34 35 studio. I would like to take a minute of your time and talk to you about all the animals living in shelters or being abandoned on the streets. 

 

Almost everywhere you go, you will be able to find abandoned animals, especially cats and dogs. Some are funny, some are scared of humans some are beautiful some are not. Well, I believe it is not their fault. Humans have failed them.

I have noticed that generally, people prefer to purchase purebred dogs or cats. They say that it is because of their traits but we know that generally, people would like to show their social status by displaying an expensive dog or cat. When I try to explain that abandoned dogs or cats are equally good usually the general comment I get is that they are not trainable. I beg to differ.

Our family dog, Alma, an adopted metis has successfully passed two training courses (magna cum laude - I need to brag a bit): basic discipline and basic exercise. In my dog experience (two females and a total of about 15 years having a dog companion) in terms of basic training, there isn't much difference between a purebred and an adopted dog. Actually, I would dare to say that for companionship adopted animals (with proper training) are easier to handle and provoke less chaos than purebred ones.

 

Based on the above, I have decided to make the ADOPT, DON'T SHOP! project a permanent service inside 34 35 studio.
